Celebrating 25 Years: Building Bridges to the World

A NIGHT OF FUN AND CELEBRATION

The International Youth Leadership Institute (IYLI) celebrates 25 years with family and friends on September 12, 2014 at Parlo-Soho in NYC. IYLI is a grassroots organization with a mission to nurture a new generation of visionary leaders from the African Diaspora who, inspired by their rich African heritage, are committed to leaving a legacy in the world.

Since 1989, IYLI has built bridges to the world for African American and Latino high school students through international travel programs in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean and through academic and leadership development programs.

The good times begin at 7 p.m., including good food, complimentary beer and wine and cash bar. Following a recognition program, popular DJ Star Vibes will play reggae, hip hop, soul and international music and keep the crowd dancing until 1 a.m.

Welcoming remarsks by the Honorable George Monyemangene, South Africa Consul General.
