Musculoskeletal Imaging Boot Camp: Practical applications for the primary care provider and allied health professional
The Slocum Research & Education Foundation in collaboration with Radiology Associates, P.C., and in joint sponsorship with Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), is pleased to host the 23rd Annual Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Update on December 5, 2015, from 8:00a - 12:00p at the Slocum Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Eugene, Oregon. Primary care providers and allied health professionals are encouraged to attend.
Course objectives:

Current concepts in musuloskeletal imaging - Applications for surgical and nonsurgical care
09:00 - 11:00 Break Out Session
Fundamentals of musculoskeletal exams and imaging sessions: (1) Hand/Wrist, (2) Shoulder, (3) Hip, (4) Knee, (5) Foot/Ankle. Select three sessions; 40minute rotations through each exam area of choice. Each session will include a comprehensive physical exam, indications for imaging and discussion of imaging choice rationale. Case examples, live models and/or live imaging demonstrations included. Some sessions presented jointly by radiologists and orthopedists.
11:00 - 12:00 Panel Presentation & Discussion
To image, or not to image? Case series presentation with a multidisciplinary panel of orthopedists, radiologists specializing in musculoskeletal imaging and physical therapsits.
