The Gut-Brain Connection: Improve mood and digestion through anti-inflammatory nutrition
Human beings have more bacterial cells in them than they do human cells and the majority of these live in our digestive tract and can either help us or hurt us depending on the balance of good guys and bad guys. In this workshop we will learn about the human microbiome and how it affects our digestive function and mood. We will then discuss strategies for promoting a beneficial population of gut bacteria through specific nutrition strategies.
Dr. Corrie’s Nutrition Workshops take place on the second floor of the Professional Building on Waterville’s Main Street. Tea and homemade paleo-style snacks are served throughout the workshop, along with opportunities to sample any foods being used as education examples. Handouts and pens will also be provided. Registration is strongly encouraged in order to secure a seat (or seats for friends/family) in the workshop. Dr. Corrie’s Nutrition Workshops are provided free of charge as a service to the local community to promote understanding of the importance of clean nutrition for preventing and healing chronic disease. These workshops are open to all who want to attend.
