Sandy Douglass Memorial Regatta & Ohio District Championship 

The 2021 Sandy Douglass Regatta - Better than Ever !

We are excited to announce that the 2021 Sandy Douglass Memorial Regatta will take place on Saturday, July 24 and Sunday, July 25. And we are pleased to be simultaneously hosting the 2021 Ohio District Championship. Two regattas in one!

Friday! - The festivites kick off with the popular Burrito Bash on Friday, July 23rd! Come join in for outstanding food, friends and fun. Gigantic burritos - beef, chicken or veggie, all the sides and cold beer and soft drinks! All in a setting that can't be matched. This event is optional.

Saturday! - Skippers meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. July 24 at Turkey Neck club - 204 Yacht Club Rd. with Zoom simulcast available at Deerhaven - 855 Shoreline Dr.

SDR - Four Divisions: Gold (advanced), Silver (intermediate), Masters (skippper age 60 + crew >120)  and Challenger (basic) Please list Sail number and Division when registering boats.  [i.e., Sail No, 749 -Challenger]

ODC - Competitors in Ohio District Championship will sail in the Gold division

All boats must display a division streamer in the area of the mainsail lower batter. Gold Division-Orange, Silver Division-Black, Masters Division- Green, Challenger Division-Blue

Races on Saturday, July 24th will be followed by the optional   80's style Dinner and Dance! You won't want to miss an outstanding dinner and live music from the 80's cover band "Guys In Thin Ties" - https://guysinthinties.com. Dress the part - are you New Wave, Punk or Hair Metal - maybe a little Debbie Gibson or Lionel Ritchie? One glove? Leather or Neon?

Sunday! - More racing followed by SDR/ODC Awards Presentation at Turkey Neck club.

Regatta registration fee includes daily lunch for skipper and crew. You may also register separately for the Burrito Bash and the SDR dinner.
