This year, the Cordell Hull Institute, with support from the World Bank and in partnership with six developing-country institutes, has held meetings in Seoul, Brasilia and Johanesburg to discuss the restoration of multilateral cooperation and further trade liberaization.   This August 5 program at Steptoe & Johnson will be the next event in this series, and the Global Business Dialogue is pleased to be associated with it.

However the imbroglio over  Bali Agreement on Trade Facilitation turns out,   the concerns about this issue expresed earlier by members of the African Union served to underline some of Africa's frustration with the long stall of the Doha Round and the shift to other negotiating arenas by the world's largest economies.
