CSLRA 2015 PORT TOUR AND TRAIN RIDE 

This year's CSLRA Train Ride, November 5 & 6, will return to Southern California on BNSF sponsored and provided business cars.  Pacific Harbor Lines has again arranged for and sponsored a tour of the Port of Long Beach preceeding the train ride.  There has been a tremendous amount of growth in the Port of Long Beach since our last tour and I'm looking forward to seeing all the wonderful enhancements.

One change is that we will be staying in Old Town San Diego, due to a citywide convention that has the major hotels downtown booked.  Old Town has some wonderful restaurants and bars in their historic district within a block of our hotel so it will be much more convenient for entertaining in the evening.

Thursday, November 5th

9:00               Board Boat for Harbor Tour of Port of Long Beach - short walk from DoubleTree San Pedro

9:30-11:30     Harbor Tour of Port of Long Beach

12:00             Depart San Pedro on BNSF business cars

1:00               Lunch aboard train

4:30               Arrive San Diego Santa Fe Station -

 4:52              Take Trolley to Old Town San Diego

Friday, November 6th

9:00-10:00      Take Trolley or Hotel Shuttle to San Diego Santa Fe Station to board BNSF business cars

10:00               Depart San Diego Santa Fe Station

12:00               Lunch aboard the train

2:30                 Arrive in San Pedro

HOTEL INFORMATION

We have a block of rooms set up at the DoubleTree San Pedro for Wednesday, November 4th.  The group rate is $178/night, you can secure a room by calling 800-222-8733 and mentioning CSL or by going to their website www.sanpedro.doubletree.com and entering csl as the group code.

 In San Diego, we have a block of rooms at the Best Western Hacienda Hotel in Old Town.  They will open that block soon and I'll send a follow up with that group code as soon as it is open.
