NH Soap Box Derby’s Spring Rally Race 

NH Soap Box Derby's rally race weekend for children ages 7 to 20 - Build (with assistance from an adult) then race in gravity powered cars. Two races on Saturday and two on Sunday. Rally participants accumulate racing points to become eligible to compete in the Rally Championship races in Akron, Ohio in July.

• RACE FORMAT: Double Elimination, Single Elimination, both with Lane/Timer Swap; one each day. Each heat is composed of two phases, one in each lane, against the same competitor. In order to advance through the bracket, a racer must not loose more than two races in a double elimination race or once in a single elimination race.

• TRACK LOCATION:  New Hampshire Motor Speedway, South Enterance Roadway.  Run the straightest and smoothest line to the bottom with consistency between heats and you could be a winner! 

• PROOF OF AGE: For any first time racer a copy of the participant birthday is necessary at the time of car inspection.

• INSPECTION: Pre race weigh-in is held at the track before races get started. 

• PAYMENT: Payment can be made at registration or send check payable to NHSBD to Dick Behan at 118 Grove St, Dover, NH 03820, (603) 953-3086

• CAR SETUP: 2017 All-American Rules / Compliance Inspection / Wheel Swap - Z-Glass wheels for all divisions (driver supplied)

• CAR HANDLER: Each contestant must provide a car handler to load cars at the bottom of the hill onto the trailer for at least one hour.

• LODGING:  A room block of 10 for Saturday May 6 has been reserved at the Quality Inn, 2 Staniels Road, Loudon, NH 03307, (603) 225-8399. A room with two queen beds for $99. Ask for "2017 Soap Box Derby" (Group Account 2912226). Fixed cut off date is April 15, 2017.
