Ready to register for the PINNACLE event of your Scouting journey that is World Scout Jamboree 2019 in West Virginia, USA on Jul 22–Aug 2, 2019?  

An information session about WJ19 will be held at Edmonton Scout House February 3 at 10am for Northern Light Council youth and Scouters to share insight into this once-in-a-lifetime event.  Please note that this session is aimed at youth members who are eligible at attend WJ19 (i.e. born between July 22, 2001 and July 21, 2005).

 

Topics to be covered include:

 

  • The number of nations that attend WJ and truly make it a unique international opportunity!
  • What WJ activities and day-to-day life look like.
  • All of the intangibles that make attending WJ so special.
  • Plus how it all works to get the youth to WJ (e.g. registration, travel coordination, WJ patrol system, camping gear prep, food, pre-jamboree event for Canadian Contingent).

 

Your presenter for this session will be Victor Lin (Scout Scouter, 59th Greenfield, NLC) who attended World Scout Jamboree 2015 in Kirara-hama, Japan as a Canadian Contingent Unit Leader.
