Episcopal Diocese of Spokane New Beginnings 2014 

Life is noisy, stressful and full of mixed signals.  The term ‘Five by five’ means that you have “the best of 25 possible subjective responses used to describe the quality of communications, specifically the signal-to-noise ratio.”  In common use the phrase means ‘it’s all good.’  This fall the New Beginnings experience will be 5x5 because it will be both all good and thinking about hearing God loud and clear in the noise of everyday teen life.  New Beginnings: 5x5 will have play, prayer, talks, surprises, games, and the marks of mission. How do we practice our faith clearly in all this noise and distraction?  Junior high and middle school youth are invited to join New Beginnings this fall and maybe find a lot of 5x5.

New Beginnings: 5x5 will begin on Friday evening the 14^th of November and we will finish on Sunday the 16^th after lunchtime.  This year we will be hosted by the fabulous folks at All Saints Church in Richland, Washington.  Any ‘safe-church’ adult driver who doesn’t want to make the trip twice will be found a place to sleep and a way to serve.  To be a part of the New Beginning experience… plan ahead and mark your calendar.  Make your plans to bring and send any and all 6-7-8^th grade youth and our beloved youth workers to New Beginnings: 5x5 this fall.  For questions and offers of service please contact Jane Gober, janeg@stpaulsww.org 509-529-1083 or Colin Haffner at colinh@spokanediocese.org.
