Salon: Can Men and Women Be Friends? 

The Marcella Project Salon is a gathering of women who have an informed conversation about spiritual issues that impact them. This time, we're asking: "Can men and women be friends?"

** This salon is open to both women AND men **

"Classical theorists regarded true friendship as a divine gift enabling Christians to come closer to one another and to God, but also involving certain more practical duties such as mutual support and encouragement and rebuke in all-important spiritual matters." (White, 219). With this concept of "what friendship is" this salon asks the age-old question, can men and women have the kind of friendship defined above? Or is it more like what Harry said in the movie, "When Harry Met Sally," the sex thing always gets in the way?
