Habitat for Humanity of Oregon's annual advocacy day is Wednesday, Feb. 5. Please see the schedule below. 

If you're traveling to Salem the night before (Tuesday, Feb. 4), please join us for dinner at Marco Polo at 6 p.m.: 300 Liberty St SE, Salem, OR 97301

Schedule:

• 7:30 am: Check-in begins; meet-and-greet with coffee and pastries at the MICAH Building (second floor).
• 8 am: Welcome address, overview of 2019 agenda and training for legislative visits.
• 9:30 am to 4 pm: Participants meet with elected officials at the Oregon State Capitol.
• 12 pm: Group photo on the Capitol steps (if your legislative meetings allow).
• Drop-in box lunches will be available from 11:30 am to 1 pm at the MICAH Building.

Habitat Homeowner Advocacy Empowerment Fund:

We are excited to announce the Habitat Homeowner Advocacy Empowerment Fund. We know it's especially powerful when legislators hear firsthand from those who directly benefit from Habitat for Humanity programs. During the 2020 short session, we'll advocate for home repair funds and keeping the Oregon IDA Initiative whole. Any affiliate who brings along a Habitat homeowner is eligible for a $250 scholarship.
