Habitat for Humanity of Oregon (HFHO) is partnering with the Center for Nonprofit Stewardship (CNS) for three, day-long regional training sessions in locations across Oregon.
What you will learn:
Building Board Diversity
Is your affiliate taking intentional steps to diversify but could use some help achieving these goals? This portion of the training will focus on what it means to diversify in Oregon and help equip you with practical steps you can take to cultivate a more diverse board.
Building a Board Orientation Program
One of the keys to board member retention is a good Board orientation plan. During this part of the training, you will learn how to craft an orientation that helps ensure that new Board Members (and maybe even help your existing Board Members) understand what it means to be part of your affiliate’s governing body.
Using Financial Statements to Make Good Business Decisions
To get the most out of this part of the training, bring some of your affiliate’s actual financial statements. You will learn how to read them and how you can best use them to make sound business decisions.
Pricing Structure:
We want you to bring as many board members as possible, so the more people you bring the lower the per person cost.
If you bring:
Invoices will be emailed the week prior to the event. Please bring payment with you.
Cancellation Policy: You will need to submit written cancellations one week prior to the event in order to receive a full refund.
