Topic: Employee Benefits Demystified
Tony will break down the very basics of insurance as the transfer of risk, describe the intricacies of employee benefit design, and discuss the different types of benefits and what problems they solve for the employer and employee. He will also discuss the “why” of benefits and how a strategic benefit design can complement your compensation plan, and how increasing your knowledge of employee benefits can help you gain and keep your seat at the executive table! Finally, Tony will break down the differences between benefit advisors and brokers and why picking your broker BEFORE you put your benefits out to market is more strategic.
Brent Henley combines more than 30 years of consulting experience with business leadership experience. Prior to beginning his consulting practice he was President of K&L Corporation, a privately held investment group with more than 110 employees. Brent partners with clients to grow enterprises in a way that provides the highest degree of personal and professional fulfillment.
Brent graduated with 2 degrees from Centenary College of Louisiana and a masters in IO/OD from Louisiana Tech University. He is a Fellow of the Government Leadership Institute at the University of New Orleans and graduate of Leadership Louisiana. He is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Georgia Carl Vinson Institute of Government and author of The neXus Initiative
