Christopher Franta is vice president and investment director in the Franklin Templeton Fixed Income group focused on US fixed income strategies with a focus on the municipal, short duration, and absolute return fixed income strategies on the platform. He also provides additional support for the investment grade & below investment grade Corporate Credit, Bank Loan, U.S. Government related, and Money Market strategies for the platform. Mr. Franta has over eighteen years of experience in the investment industry working with clients across all global distribution channels as an investment specialist supporting their fixed income needs.

Prior to joining the Franklin Templeton in 2010, Mr. Franta worked at PIMCO, where he most recently served as a product specialist responsible for developing and servicing the municipal, short-duration, and income-oriented fixed income strategies.

Mr. Franta holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Arizona. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and holds FINRA Series 3, 7 and Series 66 licenses.
