Title:

Medicare Mis-Steps: What to Avoid & What Your Clients Need to Know

Speaker(s):
Joanne Giardini-Russell, Medicare Nerd, Giardini Medicare

Thank You to Our Meeting Strategic Partner!

Program Description:
Medicare 101 is a great topic BUT what happens after you know some of the basics? Avoiding mistakes related to Medicare enrollments, deadlines, not understanding products, ill-timing in the process, your client’s health, not understanding the costs of Medicare…. etc. These are some of the battles that your clients face with their Medicare enrollment. Join us for “Medicare Mis-Steps” to begin understanding what these pitfalls are and how many of them can be avoided.

*This topic has been approved by the CFP Board for 1.0 hour of CE credit.
*Zoom login information will be sent the day before the meeting.

Speaker(s):
Joanne Giardini-Russell, Medicare Nerd, Giardini Medicare
Joanne Giardini-Russell is the owner of Giardini Medicare, an independent agency that provides Medicare products to the public. She and her team of Medicare nerds at Giardini Medicare specialize in the “transition” to the Medicare system. Do you need Medicare? If so, how do you get there in a stress-free and logical fashion. Having spent years in the financial and insurance industries, she recognized an enormous and unfilled niche. Namely, the lack of quality education and assistance in “best practices” in getting yourself to the Medicare system. She and her team of agents have grown a firm that can help assess the “do I need Medicare, how do I get it, how does it work” questions and more. They assist in the transition from the workplace era and into the Medicare years and enroll people into the proper Medicare products.

In addition to holding client consultations daily, Joanne routinely leads Medicare sessions for financial advisors, CPAs, Credit Unions and the public. Additionally, she often writes Medicare content for publications and websites such as Advisor Perspectives, SixtyandMe.com, and InsuranceNews.Net. She is available for speaking engagements for various organizations.

Three of her adult children work with her at Giardini Medicare; creating what we affectionately refer to as the “First Family of Medicare”.
