Description:
Last year, our chapter members attended a program on the many Social Security rule changes that came from the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015.  We had strong attendance and received positive survey results from members asking for more content on advanced planning strategies.  Thus, as requested, we have invited Rob Pepper, Bay Area Public Affairs Specialist with the Social Security Administration, and Rob Kron, Head of Investment and Retirement Education with Blackrock, to cover a multitude of advanced planning strategies such as the Government Pension Offset (GPO), the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP), disability and survivor benefits, second and third marriages, and much more.  They will also be sharing best practices on navigating the new mySocialSecurity website and promoting awareness on useful resources.  Come prepared to dig into some of the lesser known rules, and as always, we will allow time for questions.
