How to Create Online eLearning from

Existing Live In Person Courses

Join ASTD of Southwest Florida on Wednesday, October 16th at Keiser University for a unique program that will start promptly at 11:30 a.m.

Join us for a fast paced interactive session where you will learn the process for converting Live In-Person Courses into Online e-Learning.  Charlie Carpenter will present, using the IGNITE Style, the 20 slides that will lead you from a Live In-Person course to an online self-paced offering.

After the short presentation the rest of the meeting will be questions and answers related to online course development.  Some of the topics that may be discussed based upon what you want to learn are:

Software Tools

  • Adobe eLearning Suite
  • Adobe Captivate
  • Articulate
  • iSpring Presenter Suite
  • SSP (simple SCORM packager)

Web Based Tools

  • SCORM Cloud
  • Moodle
  • OpenSesame
  • Adobe Connect
  • Adobe Edge Tools
  • Learning Management Systems

You can pay by credit card or choose to pay at the door.  We can only accept credit cards online.

Local ASTD Member: $15 with lunch, $10 without lunch, GUESTS or Non Local ASTD Member: $20 (with or without lunch), Student with ID Non Local ASTD Member: $10 (with or without lunch), Student with ID Local ASTD Member: $5 (with or without lunch)

Meet the SpeaKER

Charlie Carpenter  Charlie Carpenter is the VP of Communications and Technology for the Soutwest Florida Chapter of ASTD. He is the founder of EducateVirtually.com an online training website.

In 2009, he began converting his live training courses into online e-learning offerings.  His courses cover Operations Excellence for any organization.
