ValorUS (VALOR) 2022 Statewide Conference will be held at the Marriott in Anaheim, CA on August 11 - 12, 2022. Pre-conference events will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022.

The 2022 VALOR Statewide Conference will be our first opportunity to gather in person since the pandemic. This conference is an opportunity to reconnect and advance the movement to end sexual violence. At this year’s conference, we invite participants to take “Collective Action for Equity” toward ending sexual violence. Join activists and advocates throughout California to explore the linkages between eradicating oppression and ending sexual violence. 

Returning to in-person events safely and confidently! COVID-19 requirements and safety measures will be in place. VALOR’s goal is to keep everyone healthy and safe, and to create a wonderful reunion experience!

Registration for the VALOR Statewide Conference is fully transferrable to another person from your agency through Tuesday, August 2, 2022. VALOR will not offer refunds for registration after July 29, 2022.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

August 11 - 12 | Statewide Conference

The VALOR Statewide Conference is a two-day event with opening plenaries each day followed by workshop sessions.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

We have secured a government rate for participants at the Marriott in Anaheim, CA of $120/night (plus tax).  The deadline for the government rate is July 27, 2022. Register and book early as this rate sells out quickly! Information on how to book you room will be sent in your registration confirmation email.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Wednesday, August 10 | Pre-Conference Events + Annual Membership Meeting

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR MEETING: 10:00 am - 2:30 pm

The Annual Executive Director Meeting is an opportunity for Executive Directors from California's rape crisis/CalOES-funded programs addressing sexual assault to gather with their peers. The purpose of the meeting is to address key topics and emerging issues impacting the organizational capacity of these programs.

This meeting is only open to Executive Directors of Cal OES-funded rape crisis center programs.

PRE-CONFERENCE: CDPH RPE Training and Networking Meeting 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Training and Networking meeting is an opportunity for RPE program staff to come together to share strategies and challenges and receive updates and information on the RPE program from CDPH and VALOR. This meeting is open only to CDPH RPE Grantees.

POSITION SPECIFIC FORUMS 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

The Position Specific Forums are peer learning opportunities for individuals in a specific job function to come together to share and network with colleagues in similar roles at other agencies. This event is for VALOR members only and is not open to the general public.
