Today’s quality improvement leaders are faced with a growing challenge in leading their organizations to higher quality standards while in the midst of the greatest changes occurring in healthcare in over 50 years.

In the course of all that is changing, conventional leadership strategies may not be up to this challenge, but for enlightened leaders, taking an Emotionally and Behaviorally Intelligent approach to leading their teams, departments and/or organizations through the gauntlet of organizational change can mean the difference between a highly successful quality improvement initiative and one that is compromised or a complete failure.

John Delmatoff, Senior Associate Partner of Creative Healthcare, Inc. will introduce the concept of Emotionally and Behaviorally Intelligent Leadership (EQ/BQ) to quality improvement leaders and provide guidance in how to begin applying these invaluable leadership skills in the context of their improvement initiatives.

John has been a senior corporate leader for almost 30 years in both public and private companies. Certified by Target Training International as a Professional Behavioral Analyst, he has worked as an executive coach with corporate leaders in the U.S, Australia, and Europe for 15 years. He has been teaching seminars on EQ/BQ to leaders in healthcare for the past 10 years, and also serves on the faculty of the American College of  Healthcare Executives(ACHE).
