42nd Annual Swim Around Key West (12.5 Miles)

Welcome and thank you for your interest in the Annual Swim Around Key West, a 12.5-mile endurance swim clockwise around the entire island of Key West. This is the 42nd swimming of our event, started by founder Anna Fugina in 1977. That first swim took 12 hours, 59 minutes; today's record is 3:31:28 set by Gabe Lindsey in 1999. The Annual Swim Around Key West is an independent and insured swim, approved by the U.S. Coast Guard.

We have three categories:
Solo Swimmer (12.5 miles): $165 through March 15, 2018
Two-Person Relay (6 miles each, consecutively): $300 through March 15, 2018
Three-Person Relay (4 miles each, consecutively): $420 through March 15, 2018

Prices increase on March 16 and again on April 16. The deadline for applying is May 18, 2018.

Each Category will be capped at the following numbers:
Solo Swimmer: 115
Two-Person Relay: 15 teams
Three-Person Relay: 25 teams

Pre-race registration will take place on Friday, June 15, from 3:00 - 5:45 p.m. at Smathers Beach. Please plan to attend a mandatory pre-race meeting in the tent at 6 p.m. following registration.
