2015 WBCHC Health Care Roundtable Conference

This year’s conference features a remarkable line up of national and local speakers addressing issues, market factors and trends impacting you, your employees, and the delivery of health care in our community.

Our keynote speaker is Bob Laszewski, president of Health Policy and Strategy Associates, a policy and marketplace consulting firm specializing in assisting clients through the significant health policy and market change afoot.  Bob was named Washington Post’s Wonkblog “Pundit of the Year” for 2013 and is widely known for his knowledge of the Washington health policy scene, as well as his fair, honest and non-partisan assessment of the health care landscape.

Additional topics and speakers include:

  •  What’s New in Wichita? Updates on Local Health Initiatives” - Local providers will share plans being implemented to improve health and health care and reduce cost.
  •  “Marijuana in the Workplace” – Colorado attorney Vance Knapp with Sherman & Howard, LLC will provide an overview of how the legalization of marijuana has impacted the work environment and policies in Colorado and other areas of the country that are facing this new frontier
  •  “Taking A Stand on Vaccinations” - The issues involved in the recent uproar over vaccinations, and how one local employer has addressed vaccinations in the workplace
  •  “Kansas Insurance Update” – Kansas Insurance Commissioner Ken Selzer will give an  update on insurance and health care topics
  •  “KanCare Expansion:  Business’s Friend or Foe” – Hear a variety of viewpoints on the pros and cons of Medicaid expansion in our state

Cost to attend is $100 for WBCHC member organizations and WorkWell KS participants, and $150 for non-members.
