WOW! Life beyond adulthood May 17 OR May 18

This is an invitation to
Wise Older Women---Life beyond adulthood

Welcome! My name is Robin Postel. I am 58, have my own business, and have enjoyed a very interesting, productive and rewarding life. So far. But I have to admit, as I age, I find myself wondering how to purposefully and gracefully age into a vibrant next stage of life (from all perspectives, spiritually, emotionally, physically, professionally, financially, socially, romantically...). Other women I know who have crossed over into the 50+ age group have expressed being in a similar place in their journey. So I had an idea... why not invite women to a conversation to explore this together?

What are your 'big' questions in this area? I don't believe that anyone can give us the answers, but together, in conversation, we can each find our own path. The first WOW conversation* took place in April, with women from across the nation, ranging in age from 52 to 77. Here's what some of them had to say about the power of our conversation:

"I joined the conversation thinking I'd have little to share since my professional life was prompting a lot more questions than answers and I was feeling a lot more fear than wisdom about it. On the call though, I found that everyone had questions, and there was tremendous value in just listening to someone else's process. I came away with confirmation that a few directions I'd been thinking about had proved useful in the lives of others. I also noticed how my experiences prompted me to ask questions of others that they might not have considered. Most importantly, the mutual exploration shifted me into a sense of adventure about this next phase of my life. Wise women are great conversation partners!" Regina

"I don't have much opportunity to be with women in my age category, it was delightful to be in a different conversation...I was motivated by this WOW conversation to declare in my couple a dissatisfaction I have been sitting on for a couple of years, it was a wake up call, I was motivated to not tolerate this in this stage of my life, and I have taken action." Phyllis, 60

"Wise words during the WOW conversations helped me move from fast-paced "things I have to do today" thinking to gentle reflection. One comment that remained with me is that in the next stage of maturity, I have the opportunity to listen to my internal call and respond. The action I chose to take after the call is a mind map of my life forward. Creating the map is an experience of continuing reflection and insights about what I am called to do and how I intend to respond. WOW and the people attracted to this process are amazing!" Sharon

"Robin's online World Cafe gave me the opportunity to engage others who are wrestling with the same important questions I am: How will I craft my life as a wise, older women to create meaning and contribution? The technology allows for intimate breakouts, and I was percolating on the conversations I had with participants the rest of the day." Maren Showkeir, co-author Authentic Conversations

"Robin Postel's Maestro "Wise Crone" woman's gathering was a deep dive into connection, insights and the new age of ripening feminine maturity which women are experimenting with and creating for themselves, evoking evolving models for generations of women to come. Lofty as this may sound connecting the voices of humanity through the voices of vibrant mature women was heart felt, inspiring and I want more." Terri O'Fallon

"I was surprised by the depth of the conversations, both in the break-out groups and the synthesis of our discussions. The immediacy and intimacy of our small group discussions led us quickly to speak our truths about our future. I was particularly touched by our exploring how we may contribute to others and encourage intergenerational collaborative learning. We have much to share." Liz Campbell

Given the number of women who wanted to participate but couldn't make the first call, and to extend the range from the continental US to Hawaii, Australia and Europe, I am scheduling two new conversations, your choice:

---Thursday, May 17 at 8:45 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time, and

---Friday, May 18 at 3:45 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time (8:45 a.m. May 19th in Sydney)

Each conversation will last for 2 hours and 15 minutes.

While this may be the beginning of something bigger (watch for a face-to-face WOW! re-treat in the Phoenix area May 26, and an online 30 day journey later this summer), this conversation is a one time commitment. It is a virtual conversation, so you can get comfortable in your own easy chair and call in. Registration is $20. (Women who participated in the first WOW! conversation are welcome to participate again at no additional fee, there is a special registration option for you.)
