Discuss Family Leave Initiative with Gary Chandler of AWB
Join us at the Chamber to discuss the upcoming Family Leave Initiative with Gary Chandler, Vice President of Government Affairs, Association of Washington Business.
The current proposed initiative will require business owners and employees to provide 26 weeks of paid leave for new parents. Businesses will also have to incur the costs of temporarily replacing the employee. There would be no assistance provided to help balance the costs.
Family Leave is important for the health of our community, and so is economic stability. Gary Chandler wants to share with our members the current polling statistics, and the stance of AWB. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the issues.
