Reigning Victory Dance Studio sponsors workshops and master classes led by some of the most talented and creative artists in the world of dance.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater celebrates the uniqueness of the African-American cultural experience and is devoted to the preservation and enrichment of the American modern dance heritage.

On Saturday, February 15^th, 2014, The Dekalb Elementary School of the Arts will be hosting Reigning Victory Dance Studio’s workshop and master class with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. Company members from Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre will lead the workshop and master class. In these classes, dancers will learn basic technique and style of the company.

Please note that a strong understanding of dance vocabulary and technique is needed to successfully participate in the class.

Please respect the targeted skill level for the class and enjoy! Please note: due to the structure of this contemporary dance class, no late entry will be permitted once the class has started.

Please be advised that because this event involves physical activity, all participants will be required to sign a waiver form prior to participating. Please review this form prior to purchasing tickets and bring a signed copy with you to the workshop. Waiver forms will also be available at the door. Also, no observers will be allowed in the sessions. 

Class Expectations:

• Arrive 15 minutes early.
• Please have a printout of your entry ticket.
• Come dressed in proper dance attire (no jeans). We prefer all black leotards, black jazz pants, and tights (if you are going to wear shorts).
• Use the restroom before class begins.
• Be respectful to Instructors and Reigning Victory Dance Studio Staff.
• No excessive talking.
• You will be asked to leave if you are being disruptive.
• No cell phones during class.
• No picture taking at any time. We have hired a photographer for this event.
