Annual Legislative Banquet

It's time for our annual trip to Lincoln for the NSHBA Legislative Banquet honoring our Senators of the Nebraska Unicameral. The banquet is March 26 at Wilderness Ridge. The Social begins at 6:00 pm with dinner following at 7:00. Each table seats 6 Home Builder members and 1 Senator and their spouse (although this arrangement depends on the number of Senators attending). If your Senator from your district attends, at least 6 members from your local HBA will be seated with them.

The Legislative Banquet is FREE to our members. We do ask that if you register to attend and your plans change, that you kindly find someone to take your place. The cost of an empty seat at the banquet is $110 which is unrefundable for the Home Builders Associations after the deadline of March 21.

Free transportation is provided if you would like to be chauffered to this event. The trip to Lincoln is a good time to discuss with each other bills in the Legislature that are being monitored by NSHBA. The trip home provides time to relax, discuss the evening or nap.

Motor Coach Locations:

Kearney Holiday Inn (Northeast side). Leaves at 3:30 pm sharp. Arrives back in Kearney between 10:30-11:00 pm.

Grand Island Arby's on 281/I-80. Leaves approximately at 4:00. Arrives back in GI between 10:00-10:30 pm.

Car Pool Location:

Columbus Ramada Inn. Leaves approximately at 4:00. Arrives back in Columbus between 10:00-10:30 pm. If you would be interested in being one of the designated drivers, please let us know.

For those of you who plan to ride the bus, be sure to bring along your favorite beverage to sip along the way.
