Oklahoma Oral Health Coalition Workgroup & Delta Dental Luncheon

The Oklahoma Oral Health Coalition values your time tremendously, and we have determined that the Oral Health Awareness Forum we had previously envisioned for June 2021 is premature at this point. Our Raising the Grade Webinar Series highlighted many long-standing challenges, and revealed that we have more groundwork to do first!  In lieu of a Forum, we will conduct a Workgroup Session at the Oklahoma History Center on Friday, June 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

This will be followed by the Delta Dental of Oklahoma Foundation Summit Luncheon, celebrating the vital work of all Oral Health Safety Net organizations and providing some long-awaited face-to-face networking time!

You are welcome to attend one or both of these events!

Registration is free of charge, but required, and space is limited.

Workgroup Reception:  8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
Workgroup Session:  9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Luncheon Reception: 11:30 a.m. - Noon
Luncheon: Noon - 1:30 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE: The Workgroup is a highly interactive, working session. Please read the details below before registering for the Workgroup Session. You do not have to attend the morning Workgroup Session in order to attend the Luncheon. (There is a single registration form for both events.)

Workgroup Objective

The overarching objective of the OOHC Workgroup is to create a Situation and Recommendations Report on the status of key oral health issues in Oklahoma to be used as a foundation upon which a new State Oral Health Plan can be built.

The OOHC Workgroup is using the 2009 Governor’s Task Force on Children and Oral Health Final Report as the framework for collecting and reviewing data, previous recommendations, and the current status of key oral health indicators.

Prior to the June 4 Workgroup Session, we ask that attendees (and others) submit the OOHC Research Workbook to contribute their knowledge or recommendations. During the Session, we will review the submissions, gather additional input, and conduct an extensive discussion about the path forward.

Even if you are unable to attend the Workgroup Session, we would greatly appreciate you submitting a Research Workbook containing any information you have. Also, you are welcome to forward this document to anyone you know who may be able to add to our research.

Event Format and Safety Protocols

In accordance with the latest CDC and venue guidelines and protocols, masks and social distancing are not required for vaccinated individuals inside or outside of meeting rooms at this event. It is recommended (not required) that unvaccinated individuals wear masks.

Unvaccinated individuals or those at higher risk should take this into consideration before registering. Due to the highly interactive nature of our Workgroup Session, an online option will not be available.
