New School Beginnings is a six- week Montessori program for caregivers and their young children. The program is specially designed to match the developmental needs of young children and the parenting needs and interests of the adults. Montessori learning materials are provided in the classroom to encourage natural exploration and to support your child’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. Caregivers and children meet together with other families once per week for six weeks. Each class meets for an hour and fifteen minutes and focuses on a particular parenting topic. The class is led by an experienced Montessori teacher. Children are free to explore the toys and materials in the classroom while caregivers are talking. Each session includes time to observe and work with your child at play, adult discussion, group snack and short circle time.

• Developmental Crisis (The Terrible Twos)

New School Beginnings at The New School of Lancaster will provide you with uninterrupted time to focus on your child and to implement some of the new information you will be learning as well as providing your child with a safe, nurturing way to meet other children and be guided by a teacher.
