SCOTT Enduro Cup presented by Vittoria and Niner Fox Trot 40 - Prologue Time Trial Race
This year's Prologue is open to registered SCOTT Enduro Cup and Niner Fox Trot 40 riders. Race against the clock around a city block while braving one obstacle per straight away for a chance to earn points towards the coveted Sun Valley All Mountain Award. Enduro riders will also have the chance to better their start time for the Saturday race.
The Prologue is not mandatory, but all riders who compete will get choice of drop position on Saturday based on where he/she finishes in the prologue. Any riders who do not compete will be assigned drop order after those who compete on Friday per category.
Format:
•2-lap race around the Expo (1 block square)
•2 riders on-course at a time (depending on registration)
•While there will be small obstacles and chicane sections throughout the 1-block square course, one section of the course will split: one lane of larger obstacles, one clear sprint lane.
•Every rider must complete the obstacle lane at least once, but may choose which lap to do so.
• Any rider who chooses to skip the obstacle lane and ride the open lane twice will be assessed a timing penalty.
