MILL 2D 01/15/2018
Our Mastercam Instructor will guide our students through the basics of the Mastercam interface, geometry creation, and the fundamentals of 2-1/2 Axis Programming. In the class our students will learn to program many parts from start to finishing and cement the fundamentals of Mastercam Programming with examples based upon real world scenarios. Upon completion of this class students will be able to work with 2D wireframe as well as solid data for toolpath creation including Drilling, Advanced Pocketing, and use of Mastercam’s Dynamic Milling Technology.
Classes run three days from 9:00AM to 4:00PM.
Prerequisite- Basic Computer Skills and have Previewed Mastercam Before Attending Class. Students Also Must Take this Mouse Training Online Tutorial before Attending class. http://www/gcflearnfree.org/mousetutorial/mouse-tutorial/1/1

- Overview of Mastercam interface
- Overview of Design Functions
- Creation and Editing of 2D wireframe geometry
- Creation of “Prismatic Solids for 2D Machining and Feature Bases Machining

DAY TWO
- 2D Solidmodel Toolpath projects
- Face, Contour, Pocket, and Drilling Toolpath options
- Introduction to Mastercam 2D High Speed Toolpaths including Peel Mill and Dynamic Milling options
- Student Question and Answer Session on day’s work
DAY THREE
- Continuation 2D Solidmodel Toolpath projects
- Overview of Mastercam’s Feature Based Machining options
- Applying Mastercam 2D toolpaths to Solid Geometry
- Setting Operation defaults
- Student Question and Answer Session on day’s work
