Presented by Intermountain and Southwest Montana School Services
Join us on Monday, September 26, 2016 for an intensive one-day seminar to learn about one of the most successful treatment programs ever developed for children who have experienced extreme trauma. This treatment program was developed in Helena, MT at Intermountain, a psychiatric treatment children's home and community outreach center that works with children and families.
This “relational” therapeutic program developed at Intermountain has gained widespread acclaim for successfully steering severely traumatized and attachment disordered children toward recovery. Youngsters from all over the US are brought to Intermountain when all other treatment options have failed. The leaders who developed this therapeutic program, Mr. Jim Fitzgerald and Dr. Elizabeth Kohlstaedt, will present this seminar.
Mr. Fitzgerald is the CEO of Intermountain and has devoted the past 33 years of his life to children and families, gradually developing the facility into the nationally recognized childhood psychiatric institution that it is today. Dr. Kohlstaedt, Intermountain’s Clinical Director for 25 years, is a licensed and practicing psychologist who oversees the care of each child at Intermountain and has trained Intermountain’s staff, parents and numerous mental health professionals. She has appeared on Prime Time Live, National Public Radio, and in the Los Angeles Times to discuss attachment disorders.

TESTIMONIAL
"Last Spring I participated in a Saturday training with Dr. Kohlstaedt and it was incredible! The information was presented in a way that was easy to understand but grounded in research. I look at students with trauma and reactive attachment disorder differently because of this one day seminar. I would send my school psychs and myself at the very least and then share it with the interdisciplinary group. It was perspective changing."
