McKenzie River Nature-Scaping Workshop with the Pure Water Partners Program

The Pure Water Partners (PWP) program is pleased to announce a virtual Naturescaping workshop on April 27th and May 4th.  This year’s Naturescaping workshop will be focused on the Holiday Farm Fire and its impacts on soil and vegetation, controlling invasives post-fire, and considerations for replanting. It will also include information on Firewise landscaping.

Learn how to use native plants to save time, money, and energy on your yard while protecting water quality and enhancing fish and wildlife habitat.  Learn how planting the 'right plant' in the 'right place,' helps to control invasive species, reduce chemical use, build healthy soil, and more.

You will receive an email with a Zoom link prior to the workshop.  Please register and feel free to attend one or both of the sessions.

Details

This year’s workshop will be virtual and broken up into two one-hour sessions.

Session 2: Firewise landscaping; Naturescaping Basics (selecting native plants, considerations for where to place them, etc.).

Each session will conclude with references to additional resources, and presenters will stay on for an extra 30 minutes to answer questions.
