Melissa Loder manages the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Certification Programs for the West Virginia District Office in Clarksburg. She has assisted many small businesses to succeed in the marketplace facilitating their business development and mentor/protégé relationships. Her government experience includes working for the Federal Aviation Administration, the National Institute for Safety and Health of the Center for Disease Control and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. As the Marketing Director for two hospitals and engineering companies, Melissa produced numerous strategic, marketing and communications plans. Prior to her federal service Melissa taught Business and Economic Statistics, Small Business Entrepreneurial Studies and Marketing for WV Wesleyan’s MBA program, Virginia Tech, Radford University and Fairmont State University. Melissa Loder received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Public Administration degrees from West Virginia University in Morgantown WV and completed Ph.D. course work in Public Policy and Administration from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg VA.
