Steam System Lab 

 

 

The Steam System Lab covers steam fundamentals and provides participants with a window into the elements of the plant steam cycle. Participants observe live stream and condensate behavior through glass piping and glass-bodied steam traps under differing conditions.  Participants will gain useful knowledge regarding steam generation, distribution, control & heat transfer, heat recovery opportunities, and condensate removal & return.

Steve Huffman, Vice President of Marketing & Business Development at Mean O'Brien

Steve Huffman's experience is in the industrial process control area, not limited to measurement and control, but including aspects of process and utility piping, hardware, and system design. This includes field instrumentation, control components, valve automation, and in particular, process steam system components and application engineering.  Specialties: Steam and condensate system design, energy assessment, troubleshooting, and education services including the design and build of the live steam lab at Mead O'Brien to further the knowledge of the practicioner in steam control, heat transfer, and condensate formation & removal.
