Basic Pipe Estimating for Beginners 

This class is a step-by-step primer for putting together a piping bid for a small project. After an instructional overview, participants will work through a labor and material take-off, price material, calculate cost, and prepare a bid for the project. The session concludes with a bid opening and discussion of bid results.

Instructor Information

Jerry Baumann, Jr. has more than 29 years of practical experience in the HVAC industry.  His experience includes being a graduate of South County Technical School with 1600+ hours of Sheet Metal courses including Arc Welding, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration I, II, and III, The University of Texas at Austin-Institute for Project Management, and Bell & Gossett Little Red School House-Principles of fluid handling systems.  He is currently employed with Integrated Facility Services.
