Consortium of Vermont Colleges 2017 Bus Tour

Join us in Vermont as we explore seventeen colleges in six days. You will spend time on each campus meeting faculty, staff and students, and learning about each school’s unique programs and attributes

As we traverse the state you will have the opportunity to see the different personalities of Vermont. We'll travel from bucolic rural areas to the golden domed state house in the capital city to the distinctive pedestrian walkway of Church Street Marketplace in Vermont's most populous city. The institutions you will visit are as diverse as the landscape—they offer virtually every option for higher education.

Each day is brimming with college tours, tasty meals, and hospitality as you travel across Vermont via a luxury motor coach with 40 other counselors and your four hosts from participating institutions.

Participants of the tour believe this is one of the greatest opportunities to see a variety of schools, to experience the beauty of Vermont, and gain positive professional development. It is sure to be a fun andworthwhile week.

Expenses during the tour dates are covered by the Consortium, including motor coach transportation, excellent lodging, and most meals.

The only costs to you are your transportation costs to the starting location in Burlington, a $100 non-refundable fee to hold your spot, and an additional fee ($350) if you would like single-room lodging during the tour.

*Due to the limited number of spots available, we will only be able to accept one participant from each high school/organization.

Travel Grant for High School Counselors:

The CVC will offer 3 grants towards travel expenses related to commuting to/from the tour start location for high school counselors who are traveling further than 250 miles from Burlington, VT. The grant will cover air travel fees or mileage at .54 cents per mile up to $500. Appropriate receipts will be required as applicable, and the grant will be paid upon completion of the tour.
