Don't Want to Drive?  There are regularly scheduled flights from Seattle every day to Medford, OR (an easy one-hour drive to Seven Feathers).  Medford airport has a number of rental car options to choose from.

Northwest Indian Housing Association   2023  Spring Meeting

The NWIHA Spring Meeting will be hosted by the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians at the Seven Feathers Resort in Canyonville, OR.  The following are the registration options:

  • Onsite Attendee:  includes all meetings, presentations, and training; also includes Continental Breakfast each morning and Banquet Dinner.
  • Virtual Attendee:  includes all meetings (except members closed session) and  presentations.
  • Exhibitors:  includes table for materials; you may also attend any of the meetings (except the members' closed session) and presentations; also includes Continental Breakfast each morning and Banquet Dinner.
  • Exhibitors 2nd Person:  includes same as Exhibitor (maximum one person).
  • Banquet Guest:  includes attendance at the Banquet Dinner only.
  • Crafts Vendor Table:  NWIHA-member tribes; includes skirted table.

In addition to our regular Business Meeting topics (approval of Minutes and Financial Reports, and reports from ATNI, NAIHC, and AMERIND) we will also have several excellent and informative presentations.

  • Presentations:  We are are very pleased to be offering several excellent presentations that we're sure will be of interest to you, including Continuum of Care programs and regional/federal program updates. For a complete Agenda, click HERE.
  • Training: Accounting and Finance for the non-Accountant. This will be of great value to all our members, including both tribe/TDHE staff and BOC/Council members, who would like a better understanding of financial statements and financial management requirements. Led by former NWIHA Director Joe Diehl, CPA, students will participate in a year in the life of an organization, gaining useful information that can be applied whether you're a tribe or a TDHE. Joe also will interject some sample accounting problems and quizzes which involve audience participation and discussion.
  • Peer Discussions: Successes and Challenges. A portion of our meeting will be devoted to sharing program and project experiences that will have value to all those involved with day-to-day housing program management. Come and learn from the best teachers - each other!
  • BanquetThe 2023 Youth Scholarship Winners will be announced. This is also an opportunity to meet with our Associate Members.
