INSPIRE 2018 "Acting In Confidence"
The Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the fourth annual INSPIRE: Women’s Leadership Event presented by Cleco, with support from Town Planner Community Calendar on August 17, 2018. The event will be held at Antique Rose Ville in New Iberia.
This event is a facilitated introspective and interactive conversation on how women can grow into leadership throughout their career with a special focus on developing or enhancing leadership in business, government or civic organizations. Women from all parts of Acadiana are invited to attend, whether you are young in your career, are an experienced professional, or are seeking to expand your leadership contribution in any of these areas. Acting from confidence is the theme of this year’s event.
INSPIRE will begin with a fun speed networking activity to bridge the gap between attendees.
This year’s keynote speaker is Frances McIntosh, PCC RDN LDN. Frances is an executive, leadership and health coach. She is an experienced collaborator with international and domestic corporate clients. Her strategy is simple and effective – authenticity, vulnerability and resilience in the workplace to facilitate fierce honesty and effective communication. She has worked in the oil field and oil service industries in Scotland and the U.S. Frances, is a Certified Daring Way Facilitator, trained by Dr. Brené Brown in The Daring Way™ and Rising Strong™, how to Show Up, Be Seen, Live Brave.™ She has been published regularly by Forbes and is part of the Forbes Education team where she shares her expertise on video about specific leadership challenges and tips. She is also a registered & licensed dietitian/nutritionist.
The event is scheduled to run from 9am to 1pm, Friday, August 17, 2018. Tickets are $35. Lunch will be served. Seating is limited and reservations are required.
