Facilitator: Beth Dillard
In this workshop we will focus on our work with multilingual students learning English. Our goals are to further our understanding of what language learning feels like from the students' perspective, and then to practice concrete strategies to use during tutoring.
The training will be held at the Rondo Community Outreach Library at 461 N. Dale St. There is underground parking that is accessible from eastbound University Ave., or there is street parking on/near Aurora Ave. south of the building. Enter through the front door (east side of building), and the training will be in the Multipurpose Room, the first door to your right immediately when you enter the building. There will also be signs posted to indicate the location of the training room.
Light snacks will be provided but please feel free to bring your own food as needed.
Tutor training is open to any volunteer or program staff member working with young people in St. Paul.
