The Saint Paul Public Schools Foundation and the Minnesota Literacy Council have created a workshop specifically for tutors working with Saint Paul Public School students in literacy. The workshop will provide an overview of the reading process and the challenges kids face. You’ll learn ways to read with and to kids, pick up some ideas for reviewing alphabetics skills, and explore ways to support writing practice.
Free parking is available in the lot behind the MLC. Enter the building at the main entrance and go straight to reach the training room. Light snacks will be provided but please feel free to bring any other food you may need.
Tutor training is open to any volunteer or program staff member working with young people in St. Paul.
