Kitten Shower &
Foster Care Orientation

Join us for the kitten shower and enjoy refreshments, meet our foster care coordinator, and spend time with kittens that benefit from foster care. Consider bringing a small gift from our wishlist, especially corrugated cardboard scratching boards, small litter boxes, and pate-style canned kitten food. Then stick around for our brief, one-hour foster care orientation to become eligible and learn how you can help us care for kittens, cats, and other animals in need of foster care.

Our foster families help save thousands of lives each year. The kitten shower will be followed by a one-hour orientation which includes an overview of the program, in-home care requirements and more. No other training is necessary to participate in this program.

Animals in foster care may not meet the minimum age/weight requirement for sterilization, require medication or are in need of socialization. Also, there is a need for foster volunteers to help with temporary care of animals.

Must be at least 18 years old and have the time to care for animals in your home. The amount of time needed varies based on the type of animal fostered and the particular needs of that animal.

The event will be held in the Society's Classroom. In order to accommodate parking for potential adopters, park in the grassy lot across the street at Kuhio Elementary School.

Contact Kristen Koss, Community Relations Assistant, at kkoss@hawaiianhumane.org or 356-2222 for questions.
