Forty Years of IRAs

This one hour program will discuss the recent Supreme Court decision, Clark v. Rameker, and the implications for inherited IRAs. While inherited IRAs are clearly NOT afforeded the creditor protection of the original IRA, there are ways to plan around the problem. This attorney led workshop will discuss ways that estate planning can be used to provide protections for inherited IRAs.  

Topics that will be covered include: a brief history of IRAs and the interplay between federal and Virginia law governing retirement plans.
