Reading and Responding to a Request for

Funding/Program Announcement

Friday, October 30, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM CDT

This is an online event.  A Zoom link will be sent to you after you register.

Facilitator:

Sara Myers, PhD - Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research and Creative Activity, Office of Research and Creative Activity

Abstract:

Securing funding for research and creative activity projects can be a confusing and complicated process. After a potential opportunity is identified, it is important to be responsive to the request for funding announcement, so reviewers have all the necessary information to evaluate the proposal. This workshop will cover the basics of reading and responding to requests for funding. Dr. Myers will work through an upcoming opportunity with a UNO faculty member. Attendees are encouraged to bring any upcoming opportunities for their own work as they will be able to ask questions regarding their specific funding mechanism. As this presentation follows the University of Nebraska Collaboration Initiative Retreat, attendees will also be able to ask questions about the University of Nebraska program.
