LMDC Character Building Blocks Leadership Seminars

Welcome to the Character Building Blocks Leadership Seminars.  In this series of 4 hour each seminars you will learn what 5 major building blocks are necessary to develop solid "character' in living our lives. This series is based on Dr. John C. Maxwell's 101 series of books on Ethics, Relationships, Equipping, Attitude, and Leadership.  Click on this link to hear John Maxwell himself introduce Dane as one of his founding coaches & partners.  Dane Deutsch will be the coach, teacher and team leader for this series of Character Building Blocks.

The Character Building Blocks Leadership Seminar Series begins with a look at Ethics.  Ethics (or Character as I like to call it) is the foundation for great leadership.  No leader can really do good and lead people without a moral compass, a True North in their life.  For a complete brochure of this series, click HERE.

John C. Maxwell says, "There is no such thing as business ethics." He is correct when he says that since there is just ethics, period. In this first of five 4-hour seminars, Dane will be focusing on the tough choices that leaders, followers, and teams must sometimes make in their quest for success., and even more importantly, significance in their lives. He will not be discussing situational ethics as much as he will be teaching you how to determine what is ethical based on John Maxwell's Ethics 101 book, and what the Boy Scouts of America have always taught in living a life that is "morally straight."

John Maxwell does an excellent job of capturing what Ethics really is and how we can practically apply ethics in our lives.  Here is a short video of John Maxwell sharing his insights and knowledge on Ethics:  The POWER OF ONE.  This video will give you a good first introduction to what the Ethics 101 book really teaches and coaches us about ethics by leading and living a character driven life.

As opposed to what most people think of when they think of Ethics, this book, with the topic of ethics, and Dane's authentic/genuine style will really bring HOME what living an ethical and character driven life is all about.  Each seminar has a maximum of 20 attendees to allow plenty of two-way interaction and effective coaching.

Here is what one student said after attending Dane's Character Building Blocks Seminars:

My daily dozen are a part of my life now and I plan on passing that down to my kids and future grandkids. There isn’t a day that goes by that some remembered point doesn’t pop into my head and I get back on track.  I learned to ask myself, “What is the goal in this situation?” That question alone cuts through the garbage and saves a lot of useless words and precious time. There was so much learned this could go on for days, but I’ll never forget what status quo really means and for Pete’s sake, Q-tip! The bottom line is, I wouldn’t have missed it for the world.

  ~Shelly, New Auburn, WI

Ethics (or Character) is the foundation of this series of Character Building Blocks.  In addition, we will be studying Relationships, Equipping, Attitude and Leadership in the follow-up seminars.
