The Honorable Shelley Berkley, CEO & Senior Provost for Touro Western Division     

 

As chief executive officer and senior provost for Touro’s Western Division, Shelley Berkley serves as the administrative and academic head of the Nevada and northern California campuses of Touro University.  Prior to joining Touro in 2014, Shelley served the State of Nevada in the United States House of Representatives from 1998 to 2013.

Scott EmersonCEO & President of United Way Southern Nevada      

Scott  served 31 years with the American Red Cross in Missouri and Nevada, the first 12 as a volunteer. His roles have included leading and modernizing the Southern Nevada Chapter of the American Red Cross. He is currently serving as the American Red Cross’ Divisional Chief Operations Officer & Southern Nevada Executive Director. Scott will begin his tenure with the United Way on February 1st.

Sarah Schonian, PhD Candidate, LMFT

Sarah received her Masters of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She completed her Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Tech University where she gained clinical, research, and teaching experience working with addiction and other mental health issues.

*This conference is open to Alliance Members and Alliance Eligible Members only.  Non-Alliance Eligible Members may attend the luncheon with Dr. Barbara McAneny and presentation by Rudy Ruettiger for the $100 Saturday day rate.

We have added an option for your physician spouse to participate on Saturday, February 10, 2018.  For a $100.00 add-on fee, your physician spouse will be able to participate in a Physician Burnout CME*, join us for a wonderful lunch, hear Key Note address by AMA President Elect, Dr. Barbara McAneny, and join us for an incredible presentation from Rudy Ruettiger!

*  CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION CREDIT:  This Live activity, Physician Burnout and Physician Suicide: The Current Epidemics, and What We Can Do to End Them, with a beginning date of 02/10/2018, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to  2.25 Prescribed credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

Physician Credit: AAFP Prescribed Credit is accepted by the AMA as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 for the AMA Physicians Recognition Award. When applying for AMA PRA, prescribed credits earned must be reported as Prescribed Credits, not as Category 1.

Cancellation and Non-Conference Room Penalty:  We have worked so hard to secure an outstanding price for your hotel rooms for this conference.  Due to our room block commitment, Conference Attendees staying at another Las Vegas Property will be assessed a $100 surcharge, which will be added to their conference registration fee.  Any cancellations to your room reservation after January 7, 2018 will result in a direct billing of the room cost to you. Thank you for your understanding in helping us provide the best conference experience for all.  Conference Registration will be non-refundable after January 5, 2018.  Any conference registration cancellations prior to that date will be on a pro-rated refund basis.  For further details, contact the Conference Chair.
