Advanced Hydraulics
Reduce downtime! Give your maintenance crew the next level of hydraulics knowledge they need to troubleshoot and improve equipment usage. This class will be a mix of theory and hands-on labwork. Participants should already have a basic knowledge of hydraulics theory.
- Discuss and work with fundamental fluid power principles and formulas
- Gain hands-on experience with the functional characteristics of hydraulic components; Spend time building and troubleshooting hydraulic circuits.
- A practical study of pumps, flow valves, pressure valves, directional valves, hydraulic motors, filters, cylinders, and accumulators
- Troubleshooting tactics
- A practical study of petroleum based and fire retardant fluids.
- Hydraulic power units
- The class will design and build a hydraulic test stand in class - time between class periods is based upon ordering parts.

Starts November 6 at 1pm.
3-5 more class sessions will be scheduled thereafter according to the progress of the class project.
