  • What help and technical assistance is available to me from ACYI?

Who should attend?

Cross-sector practitioners and individuals who work with children and youth in Adams County and/or are working to improve outcomes on their behalf.

Are there any prerequisites?

To jump into this workshop, we ask that teams complete 'CI 101: Introduction to Continuous Improvement'. We have a lot of flexibility in how this is offered. We can even schedule a time for your team to participate via a one hour webinar.

Is there a cost to attend?

This session is FREE for all organizations serving Adams County Youth and ACYI Partners. For Out-of-county organizations and non-ACYI partners, the cost is $100 per person. These fees help ACYI cover the cost of the participant's participation, including food, materials, and space. If you are unsure about whethera cost applies, please contact Ashley Edinger, Partnership Coordinator, at ashleyedinger@acyi.org.

What should I bring with me?

Laptop to access the reports, which are hosted through our Tableau server. They are only accessible online, through login (we will provide you with the URL and login information that most applies to your district and school). In addition, if you wish to take notes, feel free to bring a pen and notepad. Light snacks will be provided.

Purpose of the Adams County Student Survey
The Adams County Student Survey (ACSS) asks about safety and wellness in order to help schools create and sustain safe, respectful, drug-free school environments, and promote positive social skills. The results also help Adams County partners improve services which support youth. The survey has been administered to our 5 partner districts (Adams 12 Five Star Schools, Adams 14, Mapleton Public Schools, School District 27J, and Westminster Public Schools) each of the past ten school years (2008-2017) to students in grades 6 through 12. Beginning in 2015, the ACSS expanded its reach and launched its elementary version, surveying students in grades 3 through 5. Originally, ACYI began providing this service to schools and districts with the aim of filling a significant data void in our region. ACYI’s overall role within the partnership is to guide a shared vision and goals, to support continuous improvement across our partnership and to advance policy and mobilize funding to improve youth outcomes across the six cradle to career outcomes: kindergarten readiness, elementary grade reading, middle grade math, high school graduation, postsecondary enrollment, and postsecondary completion.

Daniel Archuleta, Youth Initiative Data Director

Daniel has worked in process and data management and analysis, accountability, and strategy in higher education and PK-12 education for over a decade. He has worked in high-performing as well as low-performing school districts. He has also served as a State Review Panelist for the Colorado Department of Education.

Daniel is an Adams County public school product and proud resident. Daniel graduated in the top of his class from Adams City High School in Commerce City, graduated summa cum laude from Metropolitan State University of Denver as an academic gold scholar, and graduated with honors from Regis University with his Master’s in Business Administration in Strategic Management.
