What is Continuous Improvement and how can this process help me improve outcomes on behalf of children and youth in Adams County?

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

This session will provide participants with an overview of the Continuous Improvement process and an introduction to basic tools that are key to the practice.

This workshop is a prerequisite for several advanced Institute Continuous Improvement workshops, such as 'LEANing Into Results Based Work.'

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Cross-sector practitioners and individuals who work with children and youth in Adams County and/or are working to improve outcomes on their behalf. Individuals, groups, and organizations interested in learning about continuous improvement.

IS THERE A COST TO ATTEND?

This session is FREE for all organizations serving Adams County Youth and ACYI Partners. For Out-of-county organizations and non-ACYI partners, the cost is $100 per person. These fees help ACYI cover the cost of the participant's participation, including food, materials, and space. If you are unsure about whether a cost applies, please contact Ashley Edinger, Partnership Coordinator, at ashleyedinger@acyi.org.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?

Pen and notepad to take notes with. We will provide light snacks.

FACILITATED BY? Amy Lueb

Amy is a Colorado Native who grew up in Broomfield and now resides in Denver. Her 15 years of process and continuous improvement experience started after she received her BS in Mechanical Engineering and went to work for a commercial ice machine manufacturer. Through other manufacturing industries, industrial equipment, gaskets & ceramics, she began to gather and hone her experience around lean as well as six sigma methodologies.  After receiving her MBA in 2009 in 2012 Amy made a big change and began working in healthcare at Denver Health as a Sr. Lean Facilitator. Then was recruited by St. Anthony’s hospital in Lakewood to help establish their Process Improvement department & begin training staff on basic CI techniques. After 3 years with Centura and expanding the program and facilitators to all 6 operating group facilities, she decided to start her own consulting company, 3 Mavens United. Amy has volunteered as a CASA & YPP member for Adams & Broomfield Counties and is currently part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentor 2.0 program. In her free time she is a judge for high school marching band and indoor winter guard and loves spending time with her 8 year old pup Annie.
