Ship Legacy Pinning Program

Be a part of a Ship tradition which honors the past and present and celebrates your family legacy at Ship! Shippensburg alumni parents, grandparents, and aunts/uncles of currently enrolled students are invited to attend a special Legacy Pinning Ceremony with the President and the Alumni Association Board of Directors to welcome current students into the Ship family. 

Registration for Legacy Pinning is separate from Family Day registration. Using the link below, Please register for the Legacy Pinning if you plan to attend this activity.

Light refreshments will be served. Attire is casual.

The pinning ceremony takes place annually during Ship's Family Day. Students may attend the ceremony with their alumni family members at any point during their time at Shippensburg. While many families participate in the ceremony during their student's first year, families may choose to participate any year, including their senior year. 

Already pinned your student? Feel free to attend and join us to celebrate those participating in the pinning. Legacy gifts provided to legacy students and legacy alumni participating in the pinning.

Legacy Program, Definition: The Shippensburg University Legacy Program was designed to recognize the commitment of its alumni to their alma mater who support and encourage their children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, and siblings to consider Shippensburg University for their higher education.
