Legacy Family Seating at Commencement

In celebration of your Legacy family, the Shippensburg University Alumni Relations Office offers reserved bleacher seats in our special Legacy section!

WHAT IS THE BENEFIT? 
No need to arrive when the gates open at 9:00AM to claim seats; this benefit provides you with reserved seats. However, you must arrive by 10:15AM. After 10:15AM, seating held for Legacy families will be released for general seating. Please allow time for traffic and parking. 

WHERE ARE THE SEATS? 
Seats will be located either in the grand stand or visitor stands at the 50 yard line depending on your graduating student's major. Correspondence will be made with you after your reservation to confirm your grand stand or visitor side seating preference. 

HOW MANY SEATS DO WE GET? 
We will reserve up to 8 seats per graduating student in our Legacy section. 

HOW WILL WE RECEIVE OUR TICKETS?
You will be mailed reserved Legacy seating tickets to the address you provide at registration. Your bleacher row will have RESERVED and YOUR NAME on the row/seat(s) reserved for you. You do not need a ticket to enter Seth Grove Stadium. 

WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER? 
Register by April 24 to obtain Legacy seating. 

Participation in the Legacy Family seating section is optional.

HANDICAP GUESTS / UNABLE TO MANAGE BLEACHERS: As a reminder, seating is bleacher seating. If you are unable to manage bleachers, your graduate must make a request for floor seating to commencement@ship.edu. INCLEMENT WEATHER:  If the ceremony is forced to move indoors to Heiges Field House, a limited number of guest admission tickets will be issued to each graduating student due to space capacity. The number of guest admission tickets given to each graduate is not determined until approximately 2 weeks before graduation based on the number of graduates participating in the program.

If the ceremony is moved indoors, you must have a guest admission ticket to enter Heiges Field House. Your Legacy seating ticket does NOT give you entrance to the Field House.You may only use as many Legacy seating tickets as you have guest admission tickets.  Example: If you are given 5 guest admission tickets to graduation, you may use 5 Legacy seating tickets. The Legacy seating ticket is not a ticket to enter graduation at Heiges Field House.
