Legacy Family Seating at Commencement

In celebration of your Legacy family, the Shippensburg University Alumni Relations Office has reserved seats (bleacher seating), up to 8 seating tickets allotted per graduating student. You must register your guests on-line by Tuesday, April 30.

No need to arrive when the gates open at 9:00AM to claim seats, this benefit provides you with reserved seats. However, you must arrive by 10:30AM. After 10:30AM, seating held for legacy families will be released for general seating. Please allow time for traffic and parking. Seats will be located either in the Grand Stand or Visitor stands at the 50 yard line depending on graduating student's major.

As a reminder, seating is bleacher seating. If you are unable to manage bleachers, your graduate must make a request for floor seating to commencement@ship.edu. Full details on commencement, including special seating requests, are available at www.ship.edu/graduation.

You will be mailed reserved seating tickets and your guests must present this ticket for access to the reserved Legacy Family section. Correspondence will be made with you after your reservation to confirm your grand stand or visitor side seating preference.

Please note information on inclement weather:  If the ceremony is forced to move indoors to Heiges Field House, you may only use as many seating tickets that you have admission tickets. Your seating ticket does NOT give you entrance admission to the field house. You must have an admittance ticket. The number of admittance tickets given to each graduate is not determined until approximately 1-2 weeks before graduation based on the number of graduates participating in the program. Example: If you are given 5 admittance tickets, you may only get 5 people in. The seating ticket is not an admittance ticket.
